NAMPA — Materne North America, makers of GoGo squeeZ, received $510,000 in training funds from Idaho Department of Labor to create 85 new jobs at its Nampa plant by February 2017, The Idaho Press-Tribune reports.
All of the positions are permanent, full-time jobs that include employer-assisted medical benefits and pay an average of $20.58 an hour. Wages will range from $12-$50 per hour, according to the Idaho Department of Labor.
The Press-Tribune reports that the new jobs include project, quality, reliability and continuous improvement engineers; production, maintenance and sanitation supervisors; operations, purchasing, engineering projects, talent acquisition, and fruit formulation and process managers; sanitation operators; operations associates and maintenance technicians.
Materne opened the Nampa production facility in November 2014 where it produces GoGo squeeZ fruit pouches. The new employees will join 65 others who were also trained through the Idaho Workforce Training Fund.
The training fund is used to reimburse businesses for the cost of training new workers or retraining existing workers with skills necessary for specific economic opportunities and industrial expansion initiatives. Eligible businesses must produce a product or service sold outside their region, and the jobs must pay at least $12 an hour and include employer-assisted health insurance.
